Sweep Your System Clean with CCleaner
As you work with your computer, Windows does a lot of things behind the scenes to save your personalized settings and to start programs faster.
The problem is, sometimes these settings get messed up or cause problems with other applications. Sometimes the temp files that speed up your system are infected. Whatever the problem you have, I always clear out all the temporary files and set all setting back to their factory defaults.
Follow along as we step through how we use CCleaner to wipe the slate clean.
Remove the Bloat with AutoRuns
When Windows system events occur, such as Windows Startup, User Login, Application Startup and more, programs can be setup to automatically load. For example, when the User Login event occurs your Virus Scan software is automatically loaded. Malware often executes by hooking into one of these AutoRun events. The AutoRuns program developed by System Internals will help us turn some of these off.

Welcome to Eighty Dollars
Welcome to 80Dollars.com
I’m a computer programmer, but often in my spare time I help my neighbours and their friends with fixing up their home computers. It often takes a couple of hours, but sometimes it could take an entire day. Regardless of the effort involved, I always charge eighty dollars.
I have a set number of activities I perform, and for the most part anyone can do them. That’s why I created this site, to share what I know and to help empower you to fix your own computer.
